Director of Admissions Receives Award
Congratulations to Jennifer Wentz, Director of Admissions, for being selected as the 2012 Social Worker of the Year by the Wisconsin Nursing Home Social Workers Association. Jennifer was nominated by St. Anne’s Administrator Lynn Vogt, and will be recognized with the award at the 2012 WNHSWA Conference in September.
Lynn’s nomination is as follows:
"Jennifer Wentz is an exceptional person performing outstanding service to the residents, families, and staff at St. Anne’s. She consistently encourages her coworkers to be inventive and creative with all aspects of resident care. Her kind and loving spirit and sincere smile never waivers; and her proactive and positive approach towards difficult situations is truly remarkable and always appreciated. She has established a true bond of trust with her peers and with the residents and families she serves."
"Jennifer consistently demonstrates high standards of ethics and fairness. She is sincere, fair, and genuinely empathizes with others. She is an incredible advocate not only for the residents of St. Anne’s, but for their families in assisting them to explore and adapt to the environment of skilling nursing care. She is able to keep those around her calm and focused on the goals and outcomes, and able to make those around her comfortable and at ease with sharing their opinions. She demonstrates exceptional organization and planning skills, readily adheres to deadlines, and possesses and extraordinary ability to multitask effectively. As the world of long-term care has changed, she has adapted well to the additional pressures inherent in marketing, managing referrals, attending to admissions, and coordinating discharge demands while maintaining 95% occupancy!"
